Reflect - Meditation Pods
You make your way up a level to the meditation pods. You walk up to the pods and notice an earthy strip running along the pods. They're filled with faint handprints. You take a seat and adjust to get the sweet spot. You close your eyes. The acoustic walls drown any noise out. Take a moment here to check in on yourself. Where's your head at? What have you learnt here?
Coal hopper form manipulation - Through iterative studies of the coal hoppers form, it was a point of interest as one of the only curved elements of the site. The form was manipulated and used to pierce the existing, allowing for users to enter into the space.
Adjustable leather chair - The adjustable Mylo leather chair has been designed to ergonomically suit a range of peoples needs. It has been designed with proportion, comfort and function in mind.
Meditation pod interior - The leather armrest gives an added layer of comfort, with spotted gum timber attachments that offer an ipad with guided meditation and buttons to adjust the chair. The lighting can also be controlled from the ipad, where users can choose from suggested settings, or they can custom set this. Acoustic walls drown out noise for maximum comfort.
Meditation pod interior - The large screen gives guided meditation as chosen by the users from the ipad, or optionally the user can go without. A drop ceiling light box lights the room and draws the focus of the user inward rather than outwards.
